Shooting down errors

I saw this on the CBC British Columbia homepage yesterday. I clicked to the article, and the first paragraph was exactly the same. Can you spot the extra word? Then,

much like the article's first paragraph, there is one a too many here. And really - a car chased two men?! I wonder if there was anyone inside the car at the time. Regardless, that car should be put down. The article ("Mazatlan murders rattle B.C. tourists" on CBC News online on February 28, 2011) had one more surprise in store:

I'd say a couple of words need to be swapped and a hyphen inserted to give us, Wulff said the hotel was located in the so-called "Golden Zone". But I'm not a professional CBC writer, so what do I know? Click an image to enlarge it.
