sneak peak; Burn the Floor

-- "online' in Vancouver 24 hours on January 9, 2009

With dance-focused reality tv shows being all the rage of late, dance may be at the peak of its popularity, but I think the writer was intending to use the word peek here. I feel sorry for the poor little r at the end, left out of the italicized clique.

It's such a common mistake that the "professional" writers and editors at Yahoo! have made it many times:

The writers at 24 hours are also "professional". Do you think writers would spell peek correctly if sneak wasn't in front of it to throw them off? I've been checking, and enjoying, your site daily but haven't commented yet. The comments from people on your About page are hilarious.
